I bought an IPA kit about a month or so ago. I went into my fridge to get the yeast, liquid with a starter inside of the package, and the yeast package had already swelled. I have no clue how long it's been like that. Do you think the yeast will be ok?

It would be best to make a starter based on the date of the pack, OG of the beer to ensure proper pitch rate

Www.mrmalty.com is a good resource for calculating size of starter. Allow yourself a week prior to brewing to get the starter going, allow to ferment, cold crash and decant on brew day:)

I appreciate the help, but I'm on brew day. Should I go ahead and pitch this package or go buy new yeast?

Go buy yeast, that way you don't take a chance on a slow fermentation, possibly causing off flavors, and a potential waste of ingredients.
