HERMS coil mounting in a cooler?

What kind of parts and methods are people using to mount their HERMS coil in a cooler? I've been searching all over and kind find anything specific, just some wide shot pictures. Also, pros/cons for sidewall mounting vs. lid mounting?

Which coil are you talking about? My HERMS coil is self standing in my HLT.

Yeah, the HLT coil. If its just freestanding, then do you have the lid off? Seems like you'd lose a lot of heating efficiency that way.

In my former HLT, it was simply through the lid, and the fittings on the coil sort of held it in place.

Wait...how is it freestanding and through the sidewall? By mounting I'm just asking about the inlet and outlet.

The inlet and outlet both go through to side of the HLT.

Ha! It was in the thread title. So if it goes through your sidewall, you have to seal it somehow right? This is the info I'm looking for. What fittings and such are people using to do that?
