Just wondering people's thoughts on a 50l system like this?

I take it you are the vendor for this equipment since you have just joined the forum and this is your first post....

I tried going to the address on the picture and the website does not exist.

listed on alibaba.com.... this is the company from China whos IPO starts today on NY stock exchange

Not a vendor- I have been looking for brewing systems and came across this one. Just wondering if anyone was familiar with this type. I'm just a guy new to brewing. I was looking at the brew magic set up and and just wanted some insight on other types of systems. It is from China - listed on alibaba. The company wants $5300 for it.

They emailed me a spec sheet if anyone is really interested. I don't know what most of it means, but I'll be happy to email it to anyone who wants to look it over.

Nice. Would that be your first brew setup if you were to buy or do you have a setup now?

I wouldn't mind taking a look at the spec sheet. At that price I could see having one or two for pilot brewing. Just attach it to a private message to me here.

Thanks mate!

If you're going to get it you should already know a good electrician and a great weldor that can do stainless.

It looks nice in the photos, but if you got up close to it I'm sure you will notice plenty of issues with construction and fit and finish.

It could be pretty sweet or it could be a total nightmare that sucks up your time and money as you try to fix electrical and fabrication issues to get the system usable. Assuming none of the issues are irrepairable.

You couldn't get it made for that kind of money in the USA, but you're taking a huge gamble when you buy that kind of stuff from China. If you read over on probrewer, many breweries that purchase Chinese made brewing systems at the least have issues with the electronics and pumps and usually have to get a weldor to come in and fix welds if not redo them completely.

Also, I'd recommend you get triclover fittings instead of DIN fittings.

I think this guy has one:

I don't think I would trade my Brewmagic for one, as another poster said what happens if the electrical components fail or you receive it and the welds are half ass. The brew magic new is going to cost you a lot more but if you have problems with it there is a IIRC 3 year warranty on it but even if something did go wrong where would you rather have to ship to Ohio or China?

If I ever get rid of my Sabco it will be because I am getting out the hobby (doubtful) or upgrading to a bigger system. One thing that may or may not be a problem are those access ports on the top for adding grain and hops, they seem awfully small. And what about cleaning if those ports are the only way to get inside. Also I know its not a big deal to some but I like having sight glasses for checking volumes which is something I don't see on that system.

Here are a list of other similar systems that have more support in the US then that system although I will let you googlefu them:

Sabco Brewmagic
Morebeer b3 sculptures
Blichmann Top tier, Brew Easy, Tower of power
Rubystreet Brewing
Pyschobrew Systems

I know I am forgetting some I just can't think of them at this moment.
