well, my first smash is finally cleared after a couple weeks in the fridge.
turns out simcoe is frutier than i gave credit!

holy cow this stuff is citrusy! i like citrus, but this is a bit over the top...lol.

anyway, a few more months in the bottle, and i bet it will be a bit mellower.

looks like bud light too. and it did not thin out like i was worried it would.

here is what i did:

0.30 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (75 min) (First Wort Hop) Hops 14.2 IBU
0.20 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (60 min) Hops 8.2 IBU
0.50 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (Dry Hop 9 days) Hops -
0.20 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (50 min) Hops 7.8 IBU
0.20 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (40 min) Hops 7.2 IBU
0.20 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (30 min) Hops 6.3 IBU
0.10 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (20 min) (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops -
0.20 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (20 min) Hops 5.5 IBU
0.10 oz Simcoe [13.00 %] (15 min) (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops -

Time is all it takes. My 3CPA (Columbus and Chinook for bittering and a mix of Cascades, Perle and Amarillo for flavor, aroma and dry hopping) was insufferable for about six weeks. If I do it again, I'll skip the dry hopping.
