As I understand it, the best way to use coffee in beer is to cold brew it, and add it to the bottling bucket / keg. Right?

An interesting thought... Would using a good roast of coffee beans that are also flavored (blueberry, hazelnut, etc.,) impart those flavors into the beer? And would they be pleasant? Has anyone had any experience with this?

I have often thought of this myself. Starbucks has a bold xmas blend that I really like. I bought a pound that I will use when I'm ready.

I put a 1/2 pound of cracked coffee beans in at flame out and leave them there until I transfer to the fermenter. The coffee flavor comes through great!
