Ordinarily I rack to the keg from the kitchen counter. Right now my back is stiff and sore, I don't really want to carry the fermenter up from the basement. The basement door is level with the driveway, I can fill a keg in the driveway and use a hand truck to bring it around to the kitchen. I don't want to bounce the fermenter up the steps on the hand truck, nor open the bucket in the nasty old basement. Does anyone rack to keg outside? Why should it be much different than filling the fermenter outside which I always do? Let me know if you do this, and any precautions you take.
