CCBE makes me feel A LOT better about myself.
As funny as that group is, I now remember why I left the the first time. A post about a line cutter at Beer Temple gets 250+ replies. Fedoradingus asking about the Walgreen's fiasco got close to 100. Other posts about where to find Bourbon County turn into 50+ response shitshows about lines and who got there the quickest, complete with pictures of receipts. Jesus Christ. The fact that people behave like this is embarrassing.
Odd that a distributor that's been around for 2 months and has only had a website for a month gets Shelton and carries beers only available at West Lakeview isn't it?
the new wave is insufferable.
I was surprised when fedora dingus (i think I coined that phrase on BA but im full of myself) was going off on his rant about ****** behavior that no one called him out for being just as bad if not worse. but ya, things have gotten weird. As funny as that group is, I now remember why I left the the first time. Like they actually find empowerment in being complete ******* knobs.
Ohhhh, I get it.... my head is stupid.

Yea, not many people do. I'm just yanking your willy.I don't actually know who you are, but I'm sure you can't be a bad guy if you're a Talkbeer guy

I'm really happy I discovered my niche and group of friends a long time ago in the beer scene, because the new wave is insufferable. Like they actually find empowerment in being complete ******* knobs.
Oh and is it confirmed that GI flipped the blend on BCBW this year? It sure the hell tastes more like a regular BW than last years.
Damn it! I missed being in the niche of friendsI'm really happy I discovered my niche and group of friends a long time ago in the beer scene, because the new wave is insufferable. Like they actually find empowerment in being complete ******* knobs.
You should have been at the 6pm tasting if you thought they were hammered at 10amI also heard from the guys at the tasting at 10:00 am that this year was 2/3 fresh barrels to 1/3 used barrels blend. Although these guys do get progressively hammered as the tastings go on so anything you hear after the early afternoon is likely to be taken with a grain of salt.

In their defense they were sober at 10:00 am, but bauermj can attest they weren't the strongest public speakers. Having said that the guy from Clybourn (whose name I'm forgetting) and Tim did give a bunch of good information to us in the Q&A portions, but If you were sitting in the back I'm not sure how you're experience would've been.
I'll pay for it again next year.
The girl at the 6pm session was very comfortable speaking. It was a lot better than last year. Also meeting Tony412 was kinda cool. How did you like that cherry? RedCoffee Dekalb? Like wut? Who are you
Let's drink the beerz sometime. Nice to see someone from Iowa as the Dunt saysI AM THE NIGHT
Just some guy? I don't usually go to events, trade, or do anything like that. I buy beer, I drink beer. I don't think I have ever met a (regularly active) TalkBeer poster.
I heart you too. Even if I am second tier suburban tasting group.I'm really happy I discovered my niche and group of friends a long time ago in the beer scene, because the new wave is insufferable. Like they actually find empowerment in being complete ******* knobs.

On that insufferable facebook group he was all up in arms about the gross behavior at Walgreens. Funny because I think it was you and me that stood right behind him and "his family" at LP last year.Wait, what? Where? When?
I may go over and get this, but only because I work in bedford park and its a block away...https://www.facebook.com/5rabbit/ph...0035955678943/985419271473937/?type=1&theater
Oh I can't wait to see what the Facebook FIBs want to get in return for these bottles. INSTAWHALEZ BRO!! What stinks is that it generally sounds like a tasty beer, but I'm not driving to Bedford Park unless I'm being paid to for my job.
This is a great post.
Throw in a "**** CCBE and their Mods that think they are helping craft beer or that the industry likes them" and "I cannot believe some of those guys don't have 4-5 maxed out credit cards and aren't face down in ditches with pants full of stout poop" for good measure.
