I dunno, cornering the American market on BA Vanilla Shake was kind of baller, in the sense of throwing a bunch of money up in the air. (Good beer though.)

I can't find the post right now (honestly I didn't spend all that much time looking though) but apparently he bought several thousand dollars worth of it from Mikkeller's web shop. He didn't really buy out the whole supply, but he got a lot of it. Full disclosure: I bought a few also, insanely expensive thought they were.

A. Whoever ****** up at Goose HQ so that they couldn't do an event where you paid money per beer should be fired and then hired all over again and given a promotion because, good God, so much beer.

They've responded that they're not sure since there's only a little left ... I really want to get a couple howlers if they're available, but I don't want to waste a trip. Hmmm.

My thoughts exactly. Wasn't good at FOBAB two years ago so unless they've completely revamped the recipe I can't see this being worth it. $24 a pop as well.

I bought month-old Two Hearted and a Sam Smith's imperial stout last night. Loved it all.

The owl in Logan square is serving vanilla bourbon county tonight. Looks like it starts around 9.

Here is the link to the Chicago Reader article posted earlier today. The Article says nothing about BCBVS but the fine print on the flyer below says it. I had it on draft at Beer Bistro earlier today. Not a lot of vanilla, only a bit at the end but super smooth with no heat.

This is torture watching this from Boston. Cannot wait to get back in tomorrow. Hopefully can get lucky with another place getting GI bottles at some point the rest of the week.
