Had nothing going on today at work so I made a spreadsheet of events that looked interesting. Not saying I'm going to hit all of them, but my choices were based on the beers I wanted to try on tap, cheap if not tickets required or educational.

In the end I might just end up at Moe's or Small Bar Logan Square by night and annoying the Beer Temple and WLV staff during the day. Either way I thought it would be dandy if we posted our maybe plans or what not, say hi and put a face to the avatars for the people that haven't meet in person yet.

May your drinks be cold, unless a stout or barleywine and ruffie free. Let's make Chicago Craft beer week about people as well as beer and if need be hang over free.

Time to find a woman.
What woman would want a guy that has a job that allows him to spend a day looking at beer crap. Beer Geek + IT isn't sexy no matter how you spin it. Maybe I'll Hit up Cat Advocate and find that special lady.

I think tomorrow I'll bust out some formulas and macros to make it really pop...maybe a power point presentation? Then throw that Data in to crystal and make a forecast for next year.

Anybody have any thoughts on BUG last night? Lots of new breweries for me and great beers. My top beers were Goose Pineapple Brett, Goose Flanders, Forbidden Root, Transient Sour Wit, Piece The Weight, and One Trick Pony Ginger Peach Hefe. Found some new breweries I'm excited about and ones that I can continue to avoid. For $60, put some spotlights out so we can see where we're going and what we're drinking after 8 PM and for the love put down some cheap particle boards in the rear tent for folks to walk on. It'd be nice if they fixed the food aspect so the food wasn't almost totally wiped out by 7:30. It wasn't the same without conservatory access. That's what I sold my wife on. She had a fine time while the sun was up, but once the food was gone and we couldn't see, she was wondering what we paid $60 for. That's my basic 1 paragraph summary of the night. Always check out Cheesies food truck as that was a delicious end to the night.

So 3Floyds is selling Rue D'Floyd with a different label for $30 per bottle, 1 per person. Who wants to bet it's still got lacto?

Any thoughts on how long they'll last at the pub? There's got to be a good amount if they went through getting an actual label printed and not stuffing it into those screen printed 750s.

I work close and went during lunch, around 1:30 today and saw probably 40+ in line. Immediately bailed.

Just left with my bottles. Lines only about 20 deep. Took about 15-20 minutes and seems like they have a good amount for anyone who cares.

Oh and a new batch of Permanent Funeral in the shop too.

They had 4 packs of DinoSmores this weekend at Sycamore Hyvee. $15. Just sitting on the shelf.

No guarantees it's still there at this point.

It's still there. I just bought a 4 pack about an hour ago and there was more on the shelf. If you want it, you can make the drive and very likely get it. If it's been there a week, I doubt it will be gone in an hour.

Also, thank you to whoever clued me in to that Facebook group. It has been absolute gold.

Lagunitas Beer Circus was great. Tickets appear to still be available for today -- well worth it. I won't say it was the best beer at a beer event, but it was probably one of the best beer events I have ever been to.

Having said that, going out for cocktails after the event was not the best decision.

Does anyone know what's going on with the BCBVS popping up all over? Just bottles that places have been hanging onto for 4 years? Looks like Hopleaf is the latest for anyone interested. Get there quickly, a local baller just posted a picture of 3 on Untappd.
