I'm on the same page. Fresh Anti-Hero is everywhere and I just love that beer/brewery. It would be amazing if liquor stores put the $/oz on the shelf tag like they do at Jewel but unfortunately there's no way that'll ever happen!

Incase you FIBs were wondering, I love you.

No reason at all.

If anyone is interested in proxying for me at the CW Seventeen release, please get in touch. Willing to discuss several options, including you buying some of my allocation, me paying for some of yours, you getting thank you beer, etc. Figured I'd get this request in now since you can only proxy for one person this year.

So FIBsters, when did BCBS become hard to get? Were pre-2013 coffee and variants easy to get?

I found half a case of BCBCS bombers sitting in a cooler of a deli store at least a month after Black Friday 2012. And a couple more in the Spring of 2013 at a small shop down around Bourbonnais.
Passed on those two because they were asking the astounding price of $24.99 EACH! How dare them!

Did they sell fast that year otherwise? Were there lines, truck chasing, **** like that?

Yes.

The limit at the Bunny's black Friday release for Rare in 2010 was FIVE bottles.
And it sat around for weeks after at plenty of other stores.

Generally speaking, though, I think the variants have always been tough to get. The first year Coffee bombers showed up, they were easy enough to find - it helped that they came out in April. I know I've said it before, but the best thing Goose could do at this point is to stop pushing for a Black Friday event. Release beer when it's ready. Also, stop begging people on social media to share pictures of their hauls.

i got like 5 bottles of 2012 coffee, but i got zero cherry until i lucked into one when the beer temple randomly put it out as an easter egg about a year later. also never landed a bramble or 2011 coffee. wasn't really a beer nerd before 2011 or so so 2010 vanilla and rare weren't even really on my radar until it was way too late.

I missed a lot while I was gone for the holiday weekend. Anyone try to get BCBS at the Costco in Oak Brook? I think I'll stop in after work to see if they have any. On my way back from Kalamazoo yesterday, I stopped at the Livery in Benton Harbor for the first time. Place is legit, that is all...
Oak Brook is the Trady of costcos

you know, based on how the bcbs release this year has gone so far, it would not surprise me in the least if some well-known smaller stores started publicly refusing their bcbs allocations entirely. and it would doubly not surprise me if archer liquors did it first. i cannot imagine the level of frustration the employees feel over what amounts to a couple case allotment that wouldn't even generate the margin you gain in 20 minutes of joe public buying anything else on some random weekend night.

Didn't Vav or some other Binny's refuse their Black Note allotment a year or two ago because the allotments were ridiculously low and not worth the trouble it would cause by having not even remotely enough go around?
