Great place to be! Working on getting there myself, but IPAs are my nemesis. I'm about ready to drop a couple Benjamins after waking up and realizing I'm IN again. Damn that Big Bad Baptist! [emoji6]

Now that's a good beer that will I give poor decisions. I'll actually get another opportunity to get out to Austin in September I think it is, well at least I know it's sometime this year, only had the pleasure of going there once. Probably going to bring an empty suitcase with me.

No shortage of breweries these days...now good ones, hummm. PM your interest when the time comes, I can point you in the right direction for sure if you like.

Oh, I'm in..!shiit!...time to schedule over time! 😒

I am out this round. I need some sort of break from deadlines. I've been working an insane amount of time the last month or so. Thankfully, I'm on vacation next week.

Well... actually I'm going to help my father out at a convention in KC. He's old, and can't carry his cases around anymore. So my wife and kids will be vacationing in KC while I somehow will still be grinding away. Lol! Life.

Hey! Anything amazing to see/do in KC besides eating bbq and going to Boulevard? I'm hitting a WWI museum on Wednesday, then slugging through the convention Thurs-Sat, but my evenings are open to go find some fun!

Any suggestions from any of you guys who may have been there? Maybe I should make a thread instead of clogging this one up...

Do the brewery tour during the week, early in the day... it's quiet and much funner. I found it to be short, but we did get to try what ever we wanted.

The ww1 museum is nice, but there is another (free) museum you should check out. It's in the list of things to see and do so you can find it easily.

Try all the top bbq joints, obviously.

I thunk there was an arcade bar, but I don't remember where.

Casino about 15-30min outside the city if you're into that.

Otherwise I don't remember much else...

Officially in ...damnit. Also I'm a corporate man now so I'll be able to actually submit my pick on time!

P.s. the VP for my new company for the Americas is a homebrewer...

Managed to visit some new breweries this weekend, as well as shop at my local beer store for some additional stuff to offer. No Genesee just yet, but I did manage to pick up something to add to my offer. Here's a sneak peek to help people figure out their ranks early!

Just picked up beer at a can release from Pure Project that will be going into my offer, tasty stuff. Just need to pick up a couple more brews to sweeten the pot.

sorry.. gotta sit this one out. going on a 3000 + mile bike trip and will miss the deadlines.
but it'll give me a chance to grab some extras for the next round.

Got it. Less drink peeps told me it's "Hive Minds".

Yeah, I had that the last time I was there. It's an IPA with a lot of honey which cuts into the hoppiness of the beer. It was really good.

Thing with them is they usually only can three different ones at a time (run about $15+/- for a 4-pack); however, they can always toss it in a crowler!

Crowlers are amazing. Can't wait for them to get a canner for them so I can ship the goodness.

...brewery is just a few miles from the house...

Monterey or Salinas? I'm going to be in Monterey 19-23, so that's obviously a main stop... it's been a while since I've been down that way, what else is good? Last I remember, Cannery Row Brewing Company (not a brewery... 🤔) was the only thing around there.

Salinas

You have Peter Bs, English ales, Monterey Coat Brewery, ASB, and likely something I forgot off top of my head.

What brings you down here?

Shooting a short film that week, but I'll be back in August for Concours. Love the area, but it's just *that much* too far from SF/Marin/Sonoma.

And thanks for the reccos! I'm definitely going to try getting to all of those, but I may get "stuck" at Alvarado St! [emoji16]

Sounds "horrible".

They're by far my favorite... same feeling about Petaluma, just a bit too far.

I just drank part of my offer. Holly s#*% I am impressed. Hopefully I can get another. Haha.
