I've had my 8 tap keezer up and running about a year. I'm low on beer at the moment, only three taps utilized, so it's time for a good and thorough cleaning. My lines are in good condition and I don't need to replace them. I just want to clean out and sanitize my lines from the beer out QDs through to the taps without disassembly.
I figure I'll hook up a keg of cleaner and push a couple quarts through each line, maybe let it sit in the lines for a half hour or so, the flush it out, first with water, then with sanitizer.
I know that BLC is made for this purpose, but I don't have any on hand. What is in Beer LIne Cleaner? Are there any good alternatives? Can I use a dilute automatic dishwasher detergent solution (like Cascade powder) or a mild solution of PBW?
