I have a grainfather counter-flow chiller (CFC) and since I can't see inside of it I really want to ensure that it's clean. I got it used with my used grainfather purchase. Is it safe to pump a BLC solution through the copper beer line inside for 15 min or so? With a good water rinse after, of course.

BLC is a caustic cleaner and thus should not be left in prolonged contact...with most things, actually.
But mixed per the label with contact time limited to 15 minutes then thoroughly flushed I would be comfortable there'd be no down-side...

Cheers!

I'd use hot or at least warm (homemade) PBW with a little bit of lye (Sodium Hydroxide, NaOH) added.

Recirculate with a pump, or use gravity. It's helpful to restrict the flow at the outlet,* so the cleaning liquid has ample contact time with the entire inside surface.

* Use a piece of hose with a clamp on it or a valve to regulate flow rate.
