How Roble Blanco sold out so fast is beyond me.
How Roble Blanco sold out so fast is beyond me.
The flip side is that both Chronology and Melange 11 sucked in sells so badly they had to second chance them and will 100% be in the RS welcome package for next year.
Yeah, they did announce the packages already. I wouldn't be surprised if they have to roll M11 down to the RS as an allocation just to recoup their costs. Maybe enough HS members blind bought it to break even but I can't imagine many people trying it and wanting more than their included bottles.Didn't they announce the packages already? I'm sure they'll pop up in a cellar sale or during the month long anniversary archive sale.
A blend of Sour in the Rye and Anniversary with dates, cinnamon, and anise. Plus an extra serving of anise. Then a little more anise. Then a lot more anise. The base blend of SitR and Anniversary actually tasted good when it briefly came through, but the anise was brutally overwhelming. What is Melange 11? My ****** attempt at googling it turned up nothing for the most part
If I were you I'd take it back to the fulfillment desk and ask them to swap it out. They could always give the BA Cuir to someone who hasn't picked up their order yet.Well it looks like if you purchased BA Cuir during the cellar sale, and haven't picked it up yet you'll be getting a refund or a BA 2 TDs instead. They over sold BA Cuir. I'm actually upset I already picked mine up, BA2TD would have been an amazing get after a bruery **** up. Anyone not pick theirs up and pissed that they don't get BA Cuir and wanna do a trade?
No one? Well worth a shot.

I wonder if the Bruery's model for HS-RS-PS is limiting them on new money buying max allocations? I know when I joined RS I maxed out on almost everything. Then 1st year of HS I maxed out on only the stuff I really liked (BT stuff mainly). This year I don't think I have maxed out anything, and have skipped most allocations completely. I have way too many Bruery beers in my house to buy 12+ more every month. I won't be re-upping next year, I might let a friend take over my HS account, but it seems that this year the offerings have been either too similar, or too out there.
Walked into a bar yesterday (keep in mind this is central Pennsylvania.) My eyes focused and behold: Humulus Lager. That cant be right, can it? I thought. So I inquired. "Yes sir, just came in yesterday."
ZFG - Paid $7 for a 10oz snifter.
If the mockup label they posted a few months ago is to believed, it's different as the ABV of TR is 8.5% while ST was 6.7%. We'll see if it actually comes in at 8.5% or if that was just a random number for the label mockup.Tonnellerie Rue is the same as Saison Tonnellerie, right?
lol, I just read that and said out loud, "Man this beer sounds awful".damn that bourgogne blanc sounds pretty damn good!

Bourgogne Blanc is a collective term used for white wines from the Burgundy region of France, most often being Chardonnay. Inspired by the crisp and fresh flavor of our own California Chardonnays, we wanted to explore what would happen from aging our sour ale with these fruitful grapes. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, the result is
spritzy and loaded with oak spice, plus tropical flavors and vanilla notes from the juicy Chardonnay grapes. It's the perfect replacement for your favorite Champagne for all of
life's celebrations.

Souren is named for our pal Søren who runs the show down in the far-off land of New Zealand at 8 Wired Brewery. Taking the long way home after a trip to the States, Søren and his team stopped off in Placentia for a day of brewing, and we created a very California-style sour beer together. Starting with a Belgian-style golden ale base, Pinot Noir grapes were added and the beer was sent to rest in barrels at Bruery Terreux. Over the year, the complexities grew and this grapey, funky, spicy beer was born. Half Kiwi, half American, this one has a rather handsome accent.

Our tonnellerie series is the perfect showcase of what we mean when we say that we make "wildly traditional bière". Here we have taken our classic Saison Rue recipe, rich with rye malt, and allowed it to ferment spontaneously within extra large oak barrels that previously contained similarly wild beers. After enough time and plenty of wishful thinking, this brand new, earthy, complex, farmhouse ale developed into what was bottled up to enjoy. We find the rustic charm of fermenting a beer in this traditional method is mimicked in the flavor.
I had the same thoughts. It sounds like the Cascade method, which I'm not terribly into. All three of those beers sound very good to me. However, they are 11%, 10% and 8.5% sours. I can't really figure out why they went for such high ABVs?
My guess is they fear if they released all the allocations all at once, ppl wouldn't buy it. Thus releasing it once a week, ppl are more likely to purchase all the beers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯i dont understand why they're releasing the arbre beers this way.
