I am excited about brewing the all grain version of John Palmer's Belgian Pale Ale this weekend and thought I would split the wort and pitch two different yeast strains:
1. Wyeast 3655 Belgian Schelde
2. White Labs Belgian Ale
At first I couldn't find the Belgian Schelde, so I opted for the Belgian Ale yeast, however, the owner of the HBS in Richmond has one Schelde smack pack left. Apparently it is a limited release, so I may want to cultivate that one for later.
Has anyone tried either of these yeast strains before? I have never done this with a beer before, so I am excited to taste the difference. Cheers!
