I have Auto-Off-On switches for my elements and pumps. I know how to wire the Auto circuits so that the BCS-462 controls things. What is the best way to wire the On circuits? I can I just pull from the +5vdc pin on the BCS? Everything is powered through SSRs that need <5mA to fire.

Here is the data sheet on the relays I am using. The model of my relays is SD24R50.

I have 5 relays in the system. One for each element (4) and then one for the pumps (dual relay so each side of the relay is switching the hot leg of the 115vac pump). Given what I read I could need up to 10mA of output power from the BCS at any give time. That should be well within the capability of it.

Ok, I was looking things over and got to thinking... That can be a bad thing sometimes!

How about wiring it so that when I switch to "manual on" I am just triggering a DIN that I associate with the task. So, din0 is the wort pump, din1 is the water pump, etc.

I have 3-way NO switches, if it matters.

The whole DIN thing is over complicating it and is not necessary. Check out this diagram from PJ

The documentation on these BCS units is dismal.

AFAIK, I have figured out how I want to wire the switch control. It hinges on being able to use the +5vdc pinout on the BCS. If that is the case then it will be easy to wire. If I need to get another transformer then I just need to order something and find room to mount it in my panel.

I think the BCS documentation is fairly good...

JonW's linked diagram is very good..

Here is a more complicated version I built a few years back, using a separate 12V power supply to power other items, including PWM that is inline with the manual mode..
