I quit the Sour and Barrel-Aged Ale Enthusiasts group on Facebook because I couldn't take it anymore, but according to others who are still in it, this release is the biggest most important deal of all-time. jmgrub are you still following that clown show?

Also on RR's Facebook page announcement there's already a ton of discussions about camping out overnight. Enjoy folks!

Why oh why can't I just will myself to go down to Whole Foods or Berkeley Bowl, pick up some Hanssens, 3F, or maybe Tilquin gueuze for a lot less money and a hell of a lot less hassle?

Ehhhh, I am to some extent, but I'm on my way out. I was on the edge anyway, but the 9/11 truthers pushed me off.

Hold up — who consistently has 3F around here? I've only seen it once (Wine Club for the win!), though admittedly I haven't dug around too much.

More than a few places i can think of have reguar, kriek and/or Dosejl.

Edit: and the extra cherry one is all over.

EDIT: Oops, confused Golden Doesjel with Golden Blend. Any chance you've seen that around?

I'd try the extra cherry but I've heard it tastes like cough syrup!

There is one very constant/vocal participant in that Facebook group who is a 9/11 truther (he makes regular reference to "melting steel beams", and his profile page makes clear he is a believer in all sorts of conspiracy theories (vaccines/chemtrails etc.)).

Last bottle of GB was up in Davis X years ago.

That sounds like some guy from San Diego named Andrew or something like that.

Right county, wrong name.
Are his initials NT? That guy posted in San Diego Beer Friends for a while and stood out as being incredibly annoying, which if you've read the group, speaks volumes...

Edit: I don't even read the Sour & Barrel Aged group, just guessing based on his description and the fact that every time he posted in SDBF it was something insipid about how he wished he was drinking a sour or BA stout.

Oh that's right. Nathan. He's universally mocked.

Would you like to buy solar?

FWIW, I'm at the San Jose Yard House. Can't complain - Fresh Squeezed and Nitro Old Chub always make me happy.

New Bay Area brewery Epidemic Ales bring us this "medium malt body" IPA.

I honestly didn't get past the first sip.

I was just joking about that. I think if someone poured an IPA that looks like that color, I would not be expecting it to taste good

Supposed to taste malty, it's an India Brown Ale

I actually did have to double check because I thought that was a possibility. Or maybe a hoppy amber like Nugget Nectar. But nope, this is in fact their (D)IPA. ******* backboners!

Really wanted to like them too since they're from Concord. Their bourbon barrel vanilla stout was pretty good, albeit shy on any barrel presence.
