Lalvin RC 212 Bourgovin Wine Yeast, it was all I had laying around and had a good alcohol tolerance. It did nutrient twice during the process.
 
Total newbie question but my final gravity on my BW is 0.97. Is that normal?

The style FG's are 1.018 to 1.030 for an English Barley Wine, and 1.016 to 1.030 for an American Barley Wine.
 
What was your recipe? Im just interested to see how this turns out, its going to be * strong :drunk:
 
will email it to you in March. I am a few thousand miles away from my book at the moment. I am pretty scared of it to be honest. If it is bad I will just run my chainsaw with it.
 
That is WAY too low. I would be curious to see your recipe. Did it contain more sugar than malt or something?
 
SWMBO is taking the reading for me. She might be doing it wrong. I don't see how but I guess that is the only explanation.
