No, but I am cutting way back because I drank like a fish the last half of December and now I need to lose the weight.
I will probably go dry for Lent this year.
TL;DR: NOT doing dry January.Yup, doing Dry January. Did it last year as well. I will be making one exception for my favorite brewery's anniversary party at the end of the month though.
30 dry days out of 31 ain't bad.TL;DR: NOT doing dry January.
Nope. I'm cutting back considerably but I have no interest in going completely dry.
Well it's almost over for those who are still doing it. I've just been cleared for beer at my post surgery checkup. Pretty sure I'll be enjoying one or more on Saturday. For the first time in a long time my beer will be properly aged, lol. I filled the pipeline prior to this month off.
I used to give up beer for Lent. Nearly six weeks going dry. Then a friend pointed out that many religious traditions gave you a "free pass" on Sundays.
Sure do miss that old church.
Brooo Brother
I usually do Lent. The two ways I'm familiar with go from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday, no break. Or, you get Sundays off but go until Easter Sunday. I grew up with the Sunday off version. For beer I feel better doing the no break version. If I do the Sunday off version then Monday is miserable due to my desire to get the most out of Sunday.
