I know that this might get old, but for us new brewers, it's like having a sick child! I need help here:
I just tasted a sample of it and it was not undrinkable, but I don't know what an infected beer is supposed to taste like, nor do I know what this beer was going to taste like anyway.
I noticed a thin film on the to of it with little white bubbles here and there. It looks like the top is kind of oily? or something... Seems that things went south when I cold crashed my carboy the other day. I think that I'm still going to bottle it tomorrow, but am I going to have to worry about bottle bombs if this is some foreign invader in my brew?
