Meh, probably needed to be said. I don't really pay much attention to the giveaway threads except to put my name in and check back to confirm that somebody I've never heard of wins. Despite the few people who got defensive, there do appear to be several others who are cheating the system.

Same here. At least the big giveaways it's paid supporters only allowed to simply reply to the thread. All these little one posters who haven't paid their dues have to mail in.

I hope they just cancel the whole damn thing. If you're that paranoid that people are just making up accounts to win a prize (which is happening, no doubt) that you point it out to try to get people all riled up... maybe just don't enter then.

This is a giveaway that the sponsor is putting on... if they don't take the trouble to go through duplicate IPs for user names (which I doubt they do), then the flawed contest is on them.

The whole thing is ridiculous. Post once, hope you win and gtfo.
