But it is cut up. A good chunk of it a utility room, some of it is a storage room. It is not a really big house for 5 people.

EDIT: there are so many houses around here of 2,500+ square feet (not including basements). Those are the houses that I have no desire to live in. Too much.

To be fair, it is Detroit. You have to allot for the fallout shelters' square footage with the house plan.

Most of the larger homes that are 2500 sqft, would you say they were art deco style houses or Victorian style with wrap around porches? I think houses that big around the suburbs of Detroit and I would think Art Deco style décor, maybe neo-gothic.

I call them McMansions. There are large number of homes in my area that have been built in the past 15-20 years.

Lots of these style houses.

Cookie cutter style houses. Shame, but I guess it helps build up the area. I really dig architecture that gives something soul.

Anyone who has more than 800 sq ft can f*** right off. My wife and I share maybe 500 ft2 and probably pay more than a mortgage for that 2500 ft2 house in most parts of the country.

I will never understand this most recent generation of "adults." How are you going to sit there at work, in your 20's or 30's, and bitch for 30 minutes that you are hungry because you didn't have breakfast because you didn't have time and can't go because you don't have a car. Are you kidding? You can't do one thing that even the simplest life forms can accomplish on their own? Here's a thought, wake up earlier than 5 minutes before you have to leave for work, stop relying on your mom to drive you to work and grow the flocc up. What would you do if something happened to your parents? Sit there weeping and soiling yourself until someone tossed a cheeseburger to you?

I read an article that a recent survey indicated 40% of millennials don't eat cold cereal because it's too much effort. Because you have a dirty spoon & bowl when you're finished. That generation is doomed.

Surly Furious beer lunch Friday! Taking care of some of my inside sales guys today. Then packing up the car and heading to the north shore with the Fam this weekend for some skiing. And yes, road trip beers coming along for the ride, along with some empty growlers for some fills along the way...

Amen brother.
Company today decided to celebrate employee appreciation day and offered to buy lunch for everybody. Bickering and arguing commenced on what everybody wanted for a good two hours. After D&D was done, I decided to adult everybody, told them to stuff it, order 7 pies, heres the toppings we are getting, heres the soda, there is beer in the fridge. Now knock it off, get back to work and appreciate that decisions are made by men like me
