I'd start at the switch/dimmer. 60% of the time, it works all the time. If they are low voltage, I'd switch em to line like Duffman suggested.

If its hooked up to a dimmer and you are getting a buzz or a hum, its most likely the wrong sort of dimmer. Low voltage units can be reverse phase dimming, electronic or magnetic low voltage type transformers. If you run the wrong kind of dimmer you can get flickering, no dimming control and in most circumstances humming.

Some are on dimmer, some aren't. All seem to buzz. But the dimmer switch ones buzz louder for sure.

See if you can get me a part number. I'll research the transformer for you and see what sort of dimmer you need. The lamping may be an issue, too. If the unit can power a max of 35w mr16 and you have a 50w mr16, you could be overdriving the transformers.
Now, if it were a decepticon you would most likely not have this issue as you would of most likely of been enslaved by now

Deception fixtures are all line voltage tho.

Sweet. I'll check it out later when I dont have my hands full with minions. That's guys.

... thanks. I'll just sit here, forever destined to be the "etc" guy.

Often as atleast once a week I curse out an engineer who had no idea what they were doing when they did a drawing. Last week I was looking at a drawing where the engineer was putting 300.00 recessed LED fixtures in the corners of corridors, 4' away from the nearest doorway just so they could get a better foot candle level rather then redesign the layout in a way that made sense and eliminated the need for excessive wattage draws.

(ir)regardless of whether or not you actually have a special someone, Its a bit saddening to see the amount of activity on this thread yesterday

Luckily my wife is one that doesnt care about vday at all. Cooked her breakfast and that was it. Spoiled the dag instead, lol. We still celebrate our dating anni even though married for a few years though, so there's that. Win some you lose some.

Holy ****... I know these things are somewhat freaky, but I'm blown away at the technology, even the improvement from 3 years ago is astounding.

Wife just had ultrasound today, my kid looks happy, lol.

Hmm? St Pats is an insane day in Buffalo. All bets are off, even at the University. The professors and Dean of Architecture allowed us to drink in the studio. So. It was awesome. Should've just got married 10 years ago.

Its absolute **** show in Philly. Steer clear of all bars unless you are a 100% certified ****** bag. Its less about celebrating Irish heritage and more about starting fights with random people over seemingly meaningless things.

Oh, it's not like that. More like streets are shut down and the bars just open their doors and the party spreads into the streets. It is always a great time.

Sounds like a couple years ago... I had finished my 6th or so Sapphire and Tonic, and had pounded as many beers beforehand.

Some guy comments on my lack of green (black shirt with a giant gold celtic knot shamrock on it), I told him real Irish people don't wear green on St. Patty's day... guy absolutely loses it, "YOU SAYING I'M NOT IRISH???"

"Where you from, Dublin?"

"I'm from here, you idiot."

"So... American then?"

Wife dragged me out before it went much further.

lol this is exactly it.
We do corned beef in the crock pot with cabbage, potatoes three ways and irish whiskey for us adults, hot chocolate with a nip for the teens if they want to try it (To date, neither of them have opted for it) at home. We leave the fighting to those who are out looking for it.
