It wasn't on purpose, just wasn't feeling a sour or any lighter beers. I couldn't go back after a stout. Mind your own bidness Mr. Friendly!

Ha!

I'm straight sipping this DFH 90 like it's straight whiskey. Not even sure why I opened it.

Guys I have a serious problem.

How am I supposed to finish BSing my was through this business law exam when my BS juice container hath run dry.

My feet are up in the recliner so I can't get a refill, SWBMO is in her physiology class lab and the dag doesn't have thumbs.

I'm doomed to sobriety or exercise

I'll take exercise over sobriety any day.

Pretty complex for a single malt, definitely had some caramel notes and a solid malt backbone without being overly sweet, hopped pretty heavily but not overdone

Good to hear. Going use that 100% in my red now. Totally forgot about that grain. Interested in using it awhile back but never did.

Having bourbon barrel 3 blind mice thanks to @Hawgwild81

One of my favorites. I wish they would send some Black Crack up here.

Great beer! Whoever sent you that is a hell of a guy.

Just finished The Shield. Pretty decent show. Didn't quite live up to the hype I'd heard though. Think it was a couple seasons too drawn out.

@Hello. All that crap in the carport is what SWMBO wants gone. The main part of that loft bed is over by the garden...may become a grape arbor base. The rest mostly bikes...that the kids rarely use. She said to have them each pick one and junk the rest. I'm afraid that anything I put on the deck, the dog would chew on it. If I didn't build a box around the freezer, though, maybe she couldn't really do much damage to the metal. I would worry about the controls and cord/plug, though.

Is dog outside that much? Mine just goes out to pee and poopoo.

I can help you build something. Temp control is key. You could use that little fridge you have but we'd have to mod it.

I'm drinking. Sitting at my kitchen table drinking and thinking. It's a dangerous combo and I have to work tomorrow.

I don't get "IPA glasses". IMO they're prone to tipping and ugly as sin.

A quick google search indicates they were created by Spieglau, a glass company. Purely as a money grab, I would think. Seriously, WTF is up with the design?

The guy in the red hoodie is a ******.

Surprisingly, I haven't @BUCKNUTS 'ed it yet. Super fragile and a pain to clean, but it is pretty cool IMO. At least we don't have to agree on everything in order to be friendly friends! :D

Was at local high end resturant a few months back that served hoppy beers from them. I could not tell how big of a difference it made. Anything is better than the crappy straight side shaker pint.

It must do something they created that glass with input from a famous craft brewery who I can not remember at the moment!

I also don't like IPA glasses, mostly because I don't have one.

Speaking of spillage, I missed the coaster by || that much and dumped the last third of my DFH 90. Beer karma kickin my ass tonight I guess.

I dunno. Anything with a tapered top and a stem will do the exact same thing. Something with a little etching on the bottom, even better. I agree, it sounds like 100% gimmick to me. I've heard mixed reviews from folks I trust as to whether or not it actually makes a difference.

Another judge I know has a weird glass where you basically pour a tiny amount of beer into it and roll it around, to bring out even the most subtle of aromatics. That one was incredibly useful the one time I got to use it in a competition. So maybe there's something to it. I don't know.

Well look at that. I killed a whole pin of Oat Mild tonight.

One more before bed. An old friend that went on hiatus for a year or so.

I'm so unbelievably happy to have it back. Nice and bright and fresh to boot. Plus I've got yeast for my clone again now.

I don't like IPA glasses either. Usually use one of my handled mugs for most beers, but I love nonic pints and snifters as well.
