After unbelievably warm weather, it looks like our temps are finally going to plummet after today. From 30 straight down to single digits by the end of the week. We might finally get our winter.

soooo...last week a coworker called it quits. Instead of bringing over somebody with experience or looking to make a new hire, my territory of coverage was expanded to include the philly metro area. I now cover 60% of our territory as well as the national market for developers such as Toll.
I can handle a lot. I like to think of myself as a work horse, but at what point does the answer have to be something other then 'give it to Duff'?

Id ask for more money, but I know their ass is gonna pucker tighter then a snare drum when I do. I don't think they can afford it, which is sad because most of the profitable sources are mine :/

Don't stress yourself out and if you can't get all the work done in time, make sure they know it's too much. Don't fall into the trap of working unpaid OT every day.

I do all of this on my own now, asking them to sanction it wouldn't really benefit me in the long run if I can get away with it already

Don't stress yourself out and if you can't get all the work done in time, make sure they know it's too much. Don't fall into the trap of working unpaid OT every day.

No dice on unpaid OT. 5pm and you see dust tracks from my desk to the door. I leave work at work and never take it home with me. I get in 45 minutes to an hour early almost every day and sometimes work through lunch if I have a bunch going on. I can for sure handle it, but don't feel like I'm getting compensated accordingly, know what I mean?

I'm pretty much the same way. If anyone ever says a word about it, I ask where they were for the first 2 hours of my work day. Luckily, pretty much nobody cares when I come or go as long as **** gets done.

They are paying one less salary and you're doing the work that two people used to do. They can afford it and more importantly, they can't afford to lose you.

Love it when my coworker (who I outrank) passive aggressively emails me to check up on a project that I have literally done EVERY part of, because my boss asked her about the progress of it knowing shes an a**kisser and would involve herself where shes not needed.
