I've always been amazed that kids could afford to buy stuff from that place. 30 bucks for a tee shirt? Such a rebel you have to wear it, but not rebel enough to have to ask for mummy and duddy's money I guess.

I dunno. All but one of my five Ramones t-shirts came from there. It has a purpose. Walk in, grab a medium Ramones shirt, pay, and leave.

Yankee doesnt bother me too much, but when I have to run to the mall and walk infront of an Abercrombie I make sure to cross on the otherside and hold my breath. Tasting cologne/perfume is the worst.

Abercrombie was directly below my store. I kid you not, you could smell it from inside some days.

Ugh. Spencer's employees were the worst shoplifters in the whole mall.

I was actually pretty good friends with the folks from HT while I worked there. Our stores backed up to the outside, so we were always on perpetual "trash runs" together. We'd leave bowls for each other in the bushes. Funny, I was in Blazers & ties, they were in JNCOS and XXL shirts.

That's why I left. I got my second warning on the second day I worked there that they wanted me to wear their "The voices made me do it" tshirts. Having to constantly bug old ladies if they wanted help picking out black light posters for their grandchildren to make sure they aren't shoplifting. And having high school girls follow me around the store. Two days. Couldn't take it.

Probably one of my favorite sports moments was from the Phillies parade in 2008. We left work early to go watch on Market street and followed them up broad. Had the chance to listened to one of the greatest living American's, Chase Utley, use the F word like the rest of us commoners.

I went to a concert of theirs sometime around 2001. The sound quality is a little less good a few blocks away and 20 stories up.

Same here. I never see anything that merits that kind of action. Of course everyone now a days are sensitive and cant take a joke. They never say exactly what caused the closure just a generic copy and paste answer. This site is just getting worst.

well, the rules of the forum are pretty well stated and clear. The posts in question tend to break the rule so I understand. I am going to keep on the good side of the rules and not say my opinions on the fairity of it one way or the other but I understand why its being done.

Its funny. The feel/personality of HBT has definitely changed over this past year. It seems that people are being less friendly than they used to (execpting this thread obviously, I mean look at the title. Where will you find a friendlier thread?) and the banter has gotten harsher or just not taken as lightly as it used to be. I don't know. I blame the Asian language spammers that have/had been hitting the site.

Coworker brought in sloppy joes to share with us for lunch today. I havent had a sloppy joe in decades.
