Yeah. I've had a burger made from it and it was really good - I think it was $25 for the burger. I'd be scared to buy some and try to make it myself. Considering it's over $100 a pound, I think I'll have to wait until someone else is buying.

We bought my FIL a one pound kobe ribeye for his birthday a few years back. $150 and it was amazing. Totally not worth the money, but worth the memory for sure.

Well, I shoveled a few inches of snow when I got home from work and about 6" more since then. We'll see what kind of mess this is tomorrow. I have a 7:30 conference call, so I'm hoping for a delayed start so I can take it from home.

That it is! Even tastier from a clean glass. ;)

Was informed today at work that I got a new title and a raised. Bought some bourbon and scotch as a celebration. The laphroaig tasted kinda like cherry chloroseptic. The blantons was pretty damn good.

Congrats! Was this the change being talked about previously or something else?

Coffee before starting the Tuesday trip...

One from Ruth's Chris Steak House.

when I lived in Vegas, our friends dad took my roommate and I out to eat for his son's 16th B-day at Ruth Chris's Steak House for taking care of his kid (kind of an odd story for the punk rock thread). his dads drink bill alone was over $1,000. at the time, my roommate and I would buy bread and load up on condiment packets from the gas station so I could afford to brew beer. it was probably the most expensive meal I'd ever had. and it tasted even better being on a rich guys dime. and they never carded me or my roommate.

Best steak I've had wasn't the best I had tasted, it was the first one earned.
After the Crucible at boot camp and after the ceremony giving us our emblem, we had the Warriors breakfast. It was the first meal in nearly three months where I actually had enoigh time to finish what was on plate. And then I had seconds lol. It wasn't a great cut of meat, not by far, but it was well earned.

Oh that great pain of your stomach stretching out.

So to sum up last night. I will withhold names.

Someone likes putting things in bungholes, $200 steaks, random beer and whiskey thrown in here and there.

I've had some good steaks, but nothing really stands out as "the best". I've only done Ruth's Chris a couple times (met Ruth, by the way...in my restaurant equipment days). I like the filet there... my usual preference is ribeye, but felt like my mouth was coated in fat, the way they prepare them. I have a couple ribeyes in the fridge now...maybe I'll do those tonight...the vegetarian just left for a business trip. maybe Chinese for lunch.

Beats two solid days with nothing to eat but packages of the four fingers of death though lol. That summed up all last night beautifully PC

Officially jealous l. I'd love a fridge full of rib eye, it's my favorite cut

Congrats @drunklejon

Thankya

Certain areas of the country are affected more than others. (Aka: hipster spawning grounds)

However, they are putting a strain on the bourbon supply from what I hear.

Since ND sucks for almost everything, I'm sure they will cut us out to feed the hipsters.

Well that sucks. We get plenty of bourbons and other whiskeys here. Sure we have our share of hipsters and politicos here but its mostly tolerable.

Congrats brother! Just finishing my second Zombie Dust. Will make a dent in the Pendleton whiskey next because **** Monday.

Thanks.

Yeah, it's too late. Only have a big bottle of Narwhal, and boss is off all week so I need to be on time and not hungover. And $200 steak sounds good.

Congrats Drunkle!

Having a disappointing pineapple blondeish to end a ****ty night.

And thank you too.

Congrats Drinkle.

And thank you as well

rather appropros screen name you have there

Sorta. They are putting some people under me but thankfully I have not heard anything more about the change in shift. I kinda feel a little guilty that I have an resume out for a different job (at a bit of a pay cut, but it involves travel and better benefits and a better job description so I am okay with that) though not that guilty.

I think I thanked everybody.

I woke up this morning slightly cussing myself for drinking as much as I did. I keep getting the waves of slight buzz. Its going to be a strange long day.

I was just checking it out. I won't lie, I would try it, but it seems too marbled to me. I think I'm having a hard time imagining it as tender instead of just straight fatty.

That breed is special and between generics and breeding practices, the fat it produces is really finely marbled has s lower melting temp than other breeds of cattle. So the fat basically liquified and soaks into the meat so the flavors are richness instead of fatty, and make the meat almost dissolve when you eat it. Be of this, if you cook it improperly, it dries out really fast. I've never had one but I bought some patties once. Big mistake.

Morning.

They called off schools today due to the blizzard that's supposed to start at 9 am. Wind is cranking ~45 mph steady, so it's going to suck if we do get any snow. I'm holding out hope that the weather forecast is full of ****.

Full Throttling.

I'm so tired of stupid dumb busy. Couldn't get on here at all yesterday. Today's not looking better. Running on 3 hours of sleep. On my 4th cup of coffee.

Mornin' ya bastards!

Best of luck man. May the force be ever in your favor

Thanks. This area always seems to miss the tornadoes. The tornado that hit Tuscaloosa back in 2012 was headed straight for us, even hit a town 20 minutes south of here. For some reason it decided to take a different path. I suppose the tornado was not a fan of Nick Saban.

Stayed up way too late last night playing Mario Kart. Woke up at around 4AM because my stomach decided it wanted me to empty its contents. Good thing is, I'm pretty sure it was just dinner not agreeing with me and not a stomach bug. Ugh...I hate throwing up. So glad it rarely happens.
