Here's a three word phrase you need to deal with.
No one cares

I think he's talking about things that are going to get smoked. :)

And that is coming from a guy living in Denver - who doesn't care. Except to use football as an excuse to drink. :ban:

Phew. That was a close one. I thought I was going to have to clock out and go home. You guys can help me kill another 20 min right?

Princess problem. I have a real problem. About to head home, smelling like beer and cigars, to a wife who thinks I was slaving away at work all afternoon.

Total Bull**** story. Guy who shot his mouth off to sound like a big shooter, not knowing he was on video, totally recanted the statement.

Funny how that happens after one realizes the consequences of something they later realized they shouldn't have said.

Story was thin to start with. Those HGH aren't illegal. They were purchased by, and sent to, his wife. Guy wanted to sound like a big deal to his friends...didn't know he was being taped.

Been there, done that...except for the cigar thing. I just finally realized it doesn't matter what I say or do, I'm wrong. Once you accept that, it's quite liberating. ;)

Call an audible and have her meet you at a bar that you can get to before her...

A cigar bar? Can't smoke in normal bars here. And she's home with 3 kids under the age of 10...

"I was driving home and saw a burning orphanage. Of course, I rushed into the smoking building to help. Neighbor, impressed by my heroics, offered me a beer."

Sounds legit, right?

ok, so you're hosed. Bring flowers and a bottle of her favorite beverage.

You had a meeting to close a big deal with the meat people from Tulsa. It's a requirement with them to talk business over beer and cigars

All this talk about rubbing your meat, on the job, in a mascot costume.

You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Killed a bottle of my spontaneously fermented cider. Now I'm working on a second one. I need to get more swingtops (I have 8, which have been housing this stuff for quite some time now, the rest are corked). These are handy. Also this is delicious and I should have done it again this fall but passed on it. A few folks called it the best cider they've had (those appreciating tart and funky, as well as dry ciders, my wife likes the really sweet ciders and absolutely hates it).

I like it. What are their names? Story has to be elaborate. I really did come here because a client was here...but I met that same client here last week...

Nice, you press the apples or find somewhere that doesn't pasteurize?

Recently bottled my small batch from '14. Bottling dregs tasted great, also wish I made another plain batch this year (added commercial yeast for some silly reason).

I learned an important lesson once, sometime long ago...

there are only a few things you should never, ever discuss while drinking with friends:

Politics

Religion

Somebody else'd kid(s)

My comment was meant to be a joke, I'm positive DC was joking too. Besides, we all know that all of the candidates out there right now are horrid.

Very true. KC bbq kills TX. :D

BBQ also need to added to that list.

I agree with wes though take the best parts of a region and use them( except he's wrong about the fat cap down, always fat side up)
Spicy smoked brisket and slaw go great together.

An orchard somewhere in MD hooks my LHBS up with 4 gallon pails (3 gallon contents) of unpasteurized cider every fall.

Nice, there's a press about 40 mins away from me that still sells unpasteurized cider. No orchard there, but they basically buy extras from other orchards to press. I brought them a bottle of cyser this year made from last year's juice and it seemed like I was the first one to ever do that.
