I think that's my wife's problem, her grandpa was apparently a mean drunk. I am as far from a mean drink as there can be.

Same here. Worst case scenario, I get sleepy. I'm far more violent sober than I am drunk (edit: no, I'm not violent towards my wife, just in case anyone got that stupid thought in their head)

My wife's ex was the other way around. I don't think he ever got violent (not that she told me) but he did get a really nasty mouth when drunk. Verbally abusive and the like. Then again, she was a teen at the time, so it was probably compoundingly worse in that light.

It's not terrible. I'm glad my shop didn't ask any questions letting me return the FBS 4 pack I bought that someone had filled with that instead though.

A) Extra points for the relatively obscure Simpsons reference.

B) The last name of the guy who I was expecting to meet with is, in fact, Powers.

C) Beer gods swooped in and made me a hero for this incident. I got in my car at about 4:30 to head home. I normally leave the office at 5:00. When I got in the car, I immediately got a text from the wife "I totally forgot that the boy is supposed to be at a birthday party at 5:30. Any chance you can cut out early so I don't need to bring the girls with me when I take him?" Seeing my opportunity, I responded, "yeah, I just stopped in to the cigar bar to have one with Powers but I can leave right now and be home in 20 minutes". She was happy as hell to hear it.


I joke around about this, but I am home by 5:30 every night like clock work, don't get really ****faced very often, and actually spend time with my kids, so the wife doesn't usually give me too much grief for minor acts of jackassery.

Yeah, it's not good either. Just not my jam... And after that other one committed suicide right next to my beer fridge, getting all under there, I'm out for good.

Too many other beers out there I'd rather spend the money on.
