Man.. did you guys know Boston Dynamics is making the robots that will probably take over the world? It was all cute until the thing started stumbling in the snow, that creeped me out for some reason. Way too real.

The robot looked like a drunk trying to prove he was really sober.

Gah ... still over two hours to go :(

I'm quite handy. Not so much with electrical stuff, but I'm pretty adept at anything mechanical.

I'm definitely leaning towards option#2 (ball locks). I can keep them cold in my sunroom for now, as the temp is just below freezing outside these days. Then I can easily buy a ~5.5cu chest freezer used for $100 or less.

SCT controllers are like $14 from Amazon. Plenty of youtube for how to hook them up.

no one wants to claim your hot plastic brew.

You're dead.

I hope you win... I'll send you the DIPA/Barleywine and a bottle from my first batch.

That's a tasty hot ferment, 5 years expired LME irish stout that a year of aging has done nothing for. MMMMMM.

I'm in, I will send a friendly friend a beer or three.

Added. Good luck.

Is that kid here yet?

The AFPFFWD 20,000th Post Pool brought to you in part by Beermeduffman

Every entrant offers up one beer (bottle or can), to be shipped to the person who happens to post to this thread for the 20,000th time. If the person who posts the 20,000th post is not on this list, it will go to the next person on the list to post after post # 20,000.

You do not need to disclose what you are sending ahead of time.

Feel free to send more if you so desire.

If you would like to participate, quote this post and I'll add your name to the list.

Must participate to win.

For the sake of fairness, try not to spam to 20,000 once we get close. That ain't right. Any poster that posts more than 3 times in a row in the hunt for 20,000 will be DQ'd (this will be discussed amongst the friendly friends to determine if an infraction has occurred).

I'll keep track of the list. CUTOFF FOR ENTRY IS POST 19,750 – only open to the continental U.S.

Point of parliamentary procedure!

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did.

But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

I'm sure us friendly friends will come to a fair solution.

Somebody's going to get a 2 year old bottle of apfelwein. Although it tasted like hot lightning at bottling, it's actually pretty good now.

As long as you don't disturb the 1/2 inch of sediment at the bottom that is. Hopefully FedEx will follow those specific instructions.

Lazy? Hum. I'd up the c40 to 2lbs, change the centennial hops to warrior and magnum to up the flavor, and about 1lbs of coriander should do it. Mash at 175f to give increased effect.

I'm worried that might mess up my inline decoction hop tea though! It might also not cancel the sweetness with the sourness or the tartness and bitterness with the savouryness

I'm not even sure it's cider anymore. There is no apple flavor or aroma. It just hurts like burning and will funk your shirt up. Friend drank a 6 pack the day after xmas.. called in to work the next day.

I got a bottle of cider in the xmas swap this year that the guy told me to wait until next xmas to drink...can't wait
