Full video of the system in action! 👇 Selling my computer operated home brewing system. I have spent a lot of time getting this system the way that works best. I just have so little time to brew lately since I brew for a living and trying to clear some space in the condo! This system runs...

Nothing but foam from draft tower faucet but picnic tap works fine

Yeah that is what I was thinking. It's definitely all foam, barely any clear beer coming out. Is there any way I can chill down the draft tower other than throwing some ice cubes in there?

Nothing but foam from draft tower faucet but picnic tap works fine

Hey guys, I'm having a hell of a time troubleshooting my kegerator. Ever since the first keg I tapped when I bought the kegerator (which was a commercial sanke keg from a local brewery) none of my corny kegs have ever poured well out of the draft tower. But all the picnic taps work just fine...

HELP! Beer was carbonated but is now flat :(

Yes the keg is at serving temp, around 36 F / 2 C. I thought it was odd myself that it seemed carbonated so soon when I drew the first pint...it had good head and lacing and bubbles, but then the carbonation seemed to dissipate so I was worried something went wrong. I'll just wait a bit longer...

HELP! Beer was carbonated but is now flat :(

So I recently kegged a saison, I hooked it up to gas and left it at 12 PSI for about 48 hours. When I came home I tried it and it was close but not carbed enough so I let it sit for another 24 hours. It is now pouring flat with no carbonation at all. Would it be a leak somewhere? Any help is...

How long do unmilled grains/vacuum sealed hops last?

I figure it's no loss if I brew a batch, all I would have wasted is time haha, thanks!

How long do unmilled grains/vacuum sealed hops last?

Long story short, there's an old brewery that closed down, and there are 55lb bags of unmilled malt and a few bags of vacuum sealed hops. I'm assuming they are no good, I think the brewery closed down in 2006, and these things were left behind, but just out of curiosity I wanted to know what...

HELP! Beer spraying out of liquid post on pin lock keg

Hello all! I was extremely excited to start kegging, so I brewed a batch and kegged it. I left it overnight in my kegerator to force carbonate. I had the PSI set at 25 for 24 hours. I just attempted to connect my liquid line but the beer is just spraying everywhere! I'm not sure what could...

So I made a mistake at my LHBS, help?

Haha that's good to hear, hopefully this will turn out to be a delicious accident as well, thanks for the reply! Looking forward to brewing this weekend!

So I made a mistake at my LHBS, help?

As I was crushing grain I somehow got distracted and put 2 lbs of C75 and 2 lbs of C20 in the same bag. My question is, when formulating a recipe, do I just write down equal weight of each, for example a 3 gal batch: 5 lbs 2 row .3 lb C75 .3 lb C20 I guess it won't be exactly accurate...

Trying to use up ingredients, thoughts on this recipe?

Yeah I was expecting the bananna and clove to come through, was hoping perhaps more hops might balance that out a bit, perhaps more cascade at the end of the boil and dry hop to add to the aroma and flavour... Hops I have on hand are cascade, centennial, amarillo, chinook and a bit of mosaic...

Trying to use up ingredients, thoughts on this recipe?

I have some grain that I need to use up before my next order, I don't want to have too much on hand so that it goes stale. Going to do a 1 gallon BIAB, as follows: 1 lb Munich 1 lb Pilsen .1 lb Vienna Cascade and Centennial hops The only yeast I have on hand is Danstar Munich Wheat...

What type of yeast should I use with this recipe?

This is my first time using 1056 as well, usually I'd just use US-05 or 04 with my ales, the last time I did the raspberry I used Danstar Munich Wheat Beer Yeast...thanks though I am going to try the 1056 with this beer, in about a month I'll know how it turned out haha

What type of yeast should I use with this recipe?

Hey guys, I'm about to make a 5 gallon batch of what will eventually be a raspberry ale (making it for my girlfriend) and I've made a 1 gallon batch of this before, turned out great but the overall body of the beer was a bit too dark in colour when I used wheat dme and amber lme, so I've chosen...

I have all these beer ingredients...what shall I do????

Hmm...well I actually formulated this recipe for a 3 gallon batch: 3.3 lbs LME 1 lb light DME .5 lb Caramel 40 For hops: 10.5 grams Centennial @45 10.5 grams Willamette @ 20 31.5 grams Cascade at flame out Calculated to be about 30 IBU Is .5 lbs of steeped Caramel 40 too much? Shall I add...

    My first recipe...thoughts??

Actually I think I may just boil this one for 45 minutes as my first hop addition is at that time. I believe that's the only reason to boil it for that amount of time, since there's no mashing haha, I'm slowly making my way to first all grain batch. I plan to use wyeast 1056 American Ale...

    My first recipe...thoughts??

Just did all the math to formulate my first recipe, and haven't brewed yet. Brewing will commence this weekend. Since I've only done a few batches of mostly extract, thought I'd keep it simple. 60 minute boil: 3.3 lbs LME 1 lb light DME .5 lb Caramel 40 Should yield 1.053 OG for a 3...

    Reusing opened yeast packages?

Thanks guys, this will save me money on my next order!

    Reusing opened yeast packages?

So I have a couple packages of yeast in my fridge that I only used half of, for small 1 gallon batches. Is it ok to reuse this yeast for another 1 gallon batch? It's been in my fridge for a few months, don't wanna risk using it if it won't work....has anyone done this?
