My '93 Civic just passed 200K. Still running like a champ! And 40 mpg mixed to boot.

Here's the daily driver. 2005 Audi A4 2.0L turbo quatro.

Here's the fun summer car that has been my dream since I was 16. Factory Five roadster mkII. 302 with 9lbs supercharger. 450hp approx.

I had to sell my 750 Shadow in order to get the cobra. I couldn't stand not having something with 2 wheels so I got a put-put.

No idea why I picked this up. Saw it on Craigslist and had to have it. It came orange so I painted it to match the business (shameless plug).

I got a '95 F-150 with 157,000 mi. Its my first truck and love it to death. Still runs like a champ with a few issues. Sadly I'm debating to sell it to help with a down payment for a house. Going to miss this old girl once she's done
I also love my new truck a '10 F-150 with 20,000 mi on it. The new one will soften the blow once i sell the old one.

07 Toyota Tacoma and the wife has an Acura TSX...The TSX is going away very soon to be replaced by a Subaru Crosstrek...Tried the sports sedan thing, it does not work well when you have to drive miles down dirt roads....

We just picked up this bad boy yesterday. All electric Nissan Leaf. Now I drive like I brew!

Seriously, two months ago I had no interest in hybrids or electrics. Full disclosure, we also have gas guzzlers, but this will be the daily commuter.

I was driving an almost new 2011 Nissan Maxima with 8K miles until I totaled it today. Ugh!!! What a sucky day. Gonna be sore tomorrow...

2012 Mazda 3 with a MT. I'm happier than Mitt Romney with a binder full of women.

You must keep us posted on how this car is. :mug:

No roads nearby so my "daily driver" is 23' skiff, but I do keep my good old 1989 Jeep Cherokee stored at the nearest town with roads (about 30 miles away). Great for road trips.

We've put on 240 miles and we are amazed. It's silent and at 40 to 50 miles per day costs is about 30 cents in electricity (we pay ~0.8c kwh).

Cool things design elements like turning on the climate control from your iPhone (or android I assume). Feels less cramped than my 530i (talk roof, big windows, airy feel). It's crammed with technology and driving is like a game... If you drive "efficiently" a tree grows on your dash panel. Yes, hokey, but you get competitive about it! My wife (an admitted lead foot) says that she's now an electricity hoarder! :)

Did I mention that it's frickin silent on the road?

We did a lease, $750 down, $250/mo 24k miles over 2 years (including taxes) on the SL model (back up cam, quick charger, solar panel). I seriously want to sell the 530i and get another one (keep the minivan for family stuff). It's cheaper to lease this leaf than keep my paid for rig.

50 miles a day at what speeds? How much charge left after 50 miles?

We're looking at a Prius for our next car. We're fans of Nissan though since our Fronty has 236,000 miles or so and still going strong.

Under ideal circumstances, the range is 100+ miles between full charges (easy driving with gentle stop and goes at around 35 - 45 mph). It's least efficient at 75 on the highway.

I can see how this is achievable, but not with the mostly highway route we use. Normally my wife only drives about 35 miles a weekday, but with the new ride we've been doing more than that because its fun.

Anyway, to answer your question, with a mix of highway and city driving (based on experience and reading the leaf forums) 65 miles would be the WORST case. Our mix of driving should give us 80 miles with a comfortable margin of error (ie arrive home with +10 miles left).

Keep in mind, the GPS map shows a bubble around your position showing your expected range (based on current driving conditions). Cleverly, the same map also shows charging stations. BTW, the slow charger stores in the trunk and can use any 120v outlet. But you only get about 6 miles per hour of charging.

If the mileage works for you, and you can get a similar deal, I say go for it.

Hmmm. That's about what I read and what the chic at the car show at the State Fair said. It's cool tech, but the range is too limited. It'd work for her, but I feel I'd really be pushing it and would wind up out of juice along the way some times. And a car that's only good for one of us to only commute with is not worth the price, to us. Even if we used it for run about stuff too. Can't see having a car that can't road trip either.

If it's working for yall, great :mug: I'd really like to see this tech catch on and improve. I've been watching Zero motorcycles.

I ride a 2006 Triumph America - Primary mode of transportation

I drive a 2006 Chevey Trailblazer - When it's to hot, cold or raining to ride, or when the wife and kids come along.

No such thing as fast enough. I have a 2007 Mustang GT with a couple goodies but nothing serious. New exhaust, suspension, cold air intake and a custom tune. Tough to balance the disposable income between hobbies...

RIP Mustang. Didn't crash it, wife had a baby. Now I drive her '06 Altima (4-cylander automatic) so she could get a 2012 Jeep GC. At least I still have beer :mug:

How do you like it so far? I'm in a 2006 outback 2.5i. Love it and wish they still made that body style.

My parents have a 2011 Outback with the smaller 4cyl and CVT transmission. It drives great and she gets around 35-40mpg. It's all gravel roads around their place and it handles them better than their '12 wrangler rubicon. Excellent in the snow as well.

I don't have any pictures with me right now but I have a 2005 trailblazer, an 84 Chevy 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive for my daily driver and a 54 Chevy Bel Air.

2009 Yamaha Royal Star Venture (1300 V-4)
When it's too wet (never too hot or cold to ride :) ) then a 2003 GMC Sierra

I used to drive a 1982 Mercedes Benz 380SEC but it needs an ignition wire and gas. I just keep spending the extra money on beer though.

We're not supposed to drink and drive right? Problem solved! :0)

(Sniffin the airlocks) I thought I was the only one that did that. It's almost like a fetish huh?

Thank you guys for supporting Subaru! I work there, so I'm biased for Subaru, but for good reason.

My wife drives a 2011 Legacy and we love it.
