Long story, the shortest possible.
I ordered a large sofa and picked a delivery date a few weeks in the future. That date came and no truck in the driveway all day. I called late in the afternoon:
Me about 5pm: Hello. The delivery hasn't shown up yet. Is there a delivery window you can share with me?
Rep: It didn't make it on the truck for today.
Me: Was somebody going to call me to let me know that?
Rep: We don't do that.
Me: Well, how was I supposed to know that it wouldn't be delivered on my scheduled delivery date?
Rep: We tell you when you call us like right now.
Me: *click*
I don't want to throw these guys under the bus by blasting their name on the internet, but just know it rhymes with "KostCo".
