Nope.

Well, your's and mine, but that's it. Should we wait for one more participant, or shall we roll with the 11 we have?

I think we can wait a little more yet. We are probably about 70 days out if we have a New Years Baby. Also I wouldn’t want this to start without @jerbrew!

You could maybe request swag and a beer from everyone? Just tossing out ideas, it is still under construction after all
Unfortunately my 700 sq ft NYC apartment doesn’t lend itself to the robust aging program I would otherwise have. :(

What about 1 beer, 1 glass, and 1 decal? Or something along those lines. Then you get a solid 12 pack of quality beer and some schwag? And that way it keeps it simple easy. And if you throw in extras it's a bonus.

I’d love to get in on this. I’ve never traded beer but I’ve been a member of the form off and on for 12 years. I agree that a big shipping a month might get to be a bit much but I’m down with a ton of beer on my birthday too. Maybe split the difference, a couple primo beers and some swag or the full monty! I’d sign if either way.

This sounds like fun! I'll join in if you've still got room. Let me know if that works. My birthday was back in September but it would still be fun to share the love from up here in Colorado!

And to respond to your initial statement, we are definitely a beer lover's dream! I live 5 minutes from Weldwerks and my wallet and waistline certainly reflect that. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Also @watersr and @JCasey1992 have both expressed interest.

Upon a closer examination, they, and three others listed above do not meet the initial requirements for inclusion:

Participants must meet the following requirements:
- A HBT member for 1 year and minimum of 4 iTrader rating. All trades must be 100% positive.
- A member of at least one prior FotD trade, with 100% positive iTrader rating.

Keep in mind, by joining, you are committing to sending ELEVEN six packs of beer. Shipping is floccing expensive. Beer is often worse. If for any reason you cannot fulfill your commitment, don't just disappear, contact the group leader and let them know. Sh*t happens, and it happens to all of us.

I'm willing to be flexible, but this trade is a BIG commitment. That's why I set the bar a little higher. I don't want those with late-in-the-year birthdays to get the shaft. *gigglesnort* @HopsNTails

I'll vote with the majority, so you guys decide what the hard rules will be, and I'll go with it.

All of the people in the in the list seem like they have had successful trades and it’s only the two you name that don’t. One has been here on the forum for a long time and the other has a birthday in September. My vote is to let it ride.

Sorry. I should have clarified when I posted.

Granted, nobody left feedback but I've done 3 successful trades through this site. (2x FOTHB and 1x FOTD) and several other trades through Facebook and another beer forum. @camonick @TwistedGray can provide some feedback if they wish. I understand the commitment and have zero issues shelling out the $$$ necessary for doing this. Let me know if you have any other questions. Either way, I totally understand.

No issues with @JCasey1992 - they were in one FotHB, fyi.

Edit - they have feedback already from @camonick it just doesn't show up as the percentage thing. I left feedback, too, albeit right now. Whoops

Thanks! Don't know how I missed the feedback from Camonick. Yours isn't showing though. Does it take time to appear on my profile?

How are we dealing with months where two or more birthdays hit at once? I'm october, and @imasickboy is also. Maybe others too.

I would think we just ship 2 packages that month or however many birthdays we have in October so the members get their box for their birthday? There will also be at least 2 in April.

@watersr is granting me in the LOT thread so once the package arrives I’ll leave him feedback.

To play devils advocate - there isn’t any reason that you need exactly 12 people here either. It’s not like you have one person per month!

I believe we need to have a cutoff so participants know what they are committing to. If this got as large as an FOTD I’m not sure I’d commit to sending 20+ packages for the year although I’d love to receive 20+ surprises.

That being said right now we have 13 interested which is one more than the limit, which is insignificant to me but everyone else committed to shipping 11 packages and may think differently.

I personally can’t wait until this starts to see who has the first birthday and then all the beer porn. I’m picturing this thread dead for a couple weeks and then chaos around everyone’s birthday.

Also @watersr sent me tracking today so he will have at least one itrader rating next week.

I’m following this thread just to watch the chaos hit!! May be interested in getting in next year. Can’t make the commitment this year.

I’ll be the first to say it!!

Happy Birthday!!

If we wind up with 13, I can wait for the next cycle. With my MO you would get beers two months late anyways.

I'm going to have to drop out of this one. Schedule makes it tough getting to a store/brewery often enough to commit to this many packages. FotD fits me a little better since it'll be less frequent.

I'm going to have to skip this for now as well. To much going on, so FOTD or every once in a while side trades will be best at this time.

Wandering around GABF, we kept comparing all the D/TIPAs and NEIPAs back to the NE IPAs we can get at Finback. I'd say we found Finback's to be better than at least 90% of the ones we tried. Damn good beer (even if I keep joking that all their NEIPAs taste the same)
Agreed. Nothing really compared to what I could get around me already, and I went to all four sessions so I had a lot of samples.
