Just wondering how you do this? I see recipes call for hazelnut or coconut extract at bottling. The one time I tried this (using eye dropper to add before capping) the extract killed head retention upon pouring and often left oil globules on the surface of my beer.

I would just add it with the priming sugar in the bottling bucket, before racking. It sounds like your extracts are oil-based and not water soluble. Because of this, your extract didn't mix with the beer

Thanks! I'll look for water soluble extracts, didn't consider that. I bottle from a keg using a beer gun and don't want a full keg of spiced beer, thus my reason for adding it to individual bottles.
