    Is this a good way to vorlauf + sparge?

    I was thinking of putting a spigot on a bucket and putting it above my mash tun, so I can drain my wort and pour it in the bucket and slowly trickle the wort through the grain slowly, and then I can also pour the sparge water in there to drip it over the grain. Here is a picture.

    If fermentation is done, what are the bubbles?

    Hello, I have an ale that has been fermenting for two weeks. The gravity readings are not moving, but there are still tiny little bubbles constantly going up, but not very many. If nothing is fermenting, why is CO2 being produced? Is my yeast just rotting on the bottom?

    Mashed at 165 instead of 156

    I am an idiot. I was not thinking. I read 156, and mashed at 165. I am 30 minutes into the mash, and I just realized that 165 seemed a little high. What will my result be? Should I abandon the brew and buy more grain tomorrow?

    What actually happens when mash temp decreases?
