beer 4 - summer beer in fall, still good. Trying to rinse the lemon flavor out of my mouth from that Abita lemon wheat beer. Might need another beer:mug:

Recipe link. second time brewing, both were great, i used S04 or S05...can't remember and didn't take notes..

thought, i replied but didn't see it in the thread... Vanilla was added at kegging...extract was made by scrapping/chopping 6 beans at the start of fermentation into 50mL of Absolute vodka. About three weeks later, the extract was filtered into the keg and and beer racked on top.

Picked up a fun 12 pack of Dark Horse's Crooked Tree. One is the original recipe (Columbus, Cascade and Centennial hops) and the others are single hopped. Apollo, Cascade, and Falconers Flight. The Cascade was my favorite.

If I had to name one beer it might be New Glarus ALT. It tickled my taste buds like no beer had before and as an east coaster with no access to distribution :( I wanted to brew it. Tried to a few years ago, it was good but not up to par... It is about time to try again.

Almost everywhere I've read recommends using beans for beers. Maybe save the extract for some awesome chocolate chip cookies to go with your brew, I now have a major craving for cookies :D

Thought about closing up the bottle while drinking the first glass, I really wanted to drink some beer but it was good enough to call it a mead night and finish the bottle.:tank:...there still might be some time for beer. I love me some Friday:ban:

Mystery bomber I thought was going to be a beer turned out to be mead, surprises are nice some times but I should do better jobs of labeling things. Poured out of the Sam Adams glass into stemware.
