    Might give up on homebrew :(

    I've been brewing for about 1 year now and started off with extract kits and found they had a "funny" taste to them. Brewed about 20 of those before switching to all grains. I found I had better results with all grain but again not quite as good as my local brew pub or a commercial beer...

    How cold is too cold?

    I'm going camping tomorrow and I dropped my keezer temp to 20 degrees. Is that too cold? Will this damage my kegs?

    Plastic boil kettles (pail)

    So I've seen a bunch of people put a heating element (1500W) in a plastic pail and use this as a boil kettle. Is this safe?

    Do I need to sparge if I recirculation with pump?

    I just bought a brew pump and my question is after I soak my grains with my initial 3 gallons or whatever, can I just add the remainder of my 5gal sparge to my mash tun and just recirculate with my pump and not sparge?

    First All grain not bubbling!

    Just brewed my 1st all grain batch Jan 15th and my airlock is bubbling very very slowly. Temp is at 68F and I don't know what I did wrong or am I being impatient. Brewed my second batch 2 days ago and that one isn't bubbling either. Pretty sure my seals are tight. Thoughts?

    I'm switching from extract to all grain brewing and I'm thinking of buying grains in bulk. What diverse basics should I be keeping stocked...in other words is there a base grain that's used in most mashes or do they all differ depending on the recipe?

    Carboy fermentation.

    I've decided to ditch my pale primary fermenter and I'm doing it straight out of a carboy. Less chances of air born contaminants and it's way easier. Is a secondary really necessary?
