    Are hipsters ruining craft beer?

Sadly (or not) I don't really buy craft beer anymore. One day I found myself at a Kroger (grocery store here in NC) because I knew they released Hopslam the day before. I had to ask someone who worked there to get a 6 pack for me out of the back because that's where they keep it. They don't put...

    Favorite Brand of Coffee?

Oh man if we are talking favorite coffee (not local), I've been across the entire US and back and I think Stumptown in Portland is by far the best coffee I've been able to find EVER. Locally speaking in North Carolina, Joe Van Gogh is excellent and so is Counter Culture.

    Beer Geeks vs. Beer Snobs?

haha its not about not wanting to drink BMC beers, its just the way one acts and expresses themselves about their preferences. also, no one said being a snob is a bad thing, its really just a label and a poor one at that. snobs can be described as someone who is passionate about their beer...

    Beer Geeks vs. Beer Snobs?

Personally, I think a beer snob is someone who would say something derogatory towards a beer they don't like (like most people on this forum they target numerous BMC beers) and a beer geek is someone who understands the full spectrum of quality in beers and uses more critical language when...

    Are hipsters ruining craft beer?

That article did have some promise when he seemed to be unbiased towards the subject and stayed to facts, but towards the end he clearly reveals he already has biases and expectations. This part: "The hipster represents the end of Western civilization – a culture so detached and disconnected...

    Are hipsters ruining craft beer?

What's interesting is that if you see a hipster drinking craft beer, they are not a hipster but just someone trying to be a hipster (which may be worse? I dunno) because believe it or not, its cool to drink craft beer. Yep, everyone here is cool! :D Whats more interesting is that most people...

Haha I know...its one of the reasons I love HBT. I mean lets be honest, how many replies can a post get about a funny hipters video...but these organic conversations that evolve deep within random posts are amazing!

    Are hipsters ruining craft beer?

haha please know I am not trying to egg anyone on or stir rage from deep inside, if you think I am assuming anything I am really not, I just didn't know much about it and was curious about the reasons. If you look back through the thread I never try and antagonize anyone, I truly try and have...

    Are hipsters ruining craft beer?

I get southern pride, I live down here and see it every day and respect it, but why specifically choose the confederate flag to show your pride? (seriously, I am curious to know) Like someone said earlier, wouldn't it be the same if someone from Germany hung a swastika and said it was German...

    AB buys Blue Point

Where's do you draw the line between craft and macro? I believe the current legal limit to be a craft brewery is still less than 6 million barrels per year (correct me if am wrong) so I am obviously not talking about the legal line, but your personal line. Is something like Sierra Nevada still a...
