I made a yeast starter last night and have gone to shake it today and noticed a lot of bit floating around in the liquid. When looking at the bottom there is quite large amounts of white bits settled on the bottom. Is this normal? This is only the 2nd starter I have made so not entirely sure if thats anything to be worried about but I dont remember getting that on the last starter. It is a different yeast so dont know if they act differently? This yeast is WLP029. When shaking it does foam up like the last one and yoy can hear co2 escaping through the foil top like the last one too. Have attached an image so hopefully that helps

Thats yeast my friend..those little bits could be some break material from the DME..does not look like anything to worry about

Smell is usually the best indicator. If youre getting funky smells, might be an issue.
