I want to make a Vienna lager as my first lager attempt - like Negra Modelo.

It looks like Bohemian lager or German lager are the typical yeasts. I can't tell the differences. Anyone have preferences?

If it's your first lager, two packs of 34/70 will greatly simplify things. Do you have a way to build up a big lager starter with liquid yeast?

Thanks for the input. It's funny because everything I read about Vienna lagers mentioned the European strains. I didn't realize there was a Mexican lager strain! I think I'll go with that.
