I stumbled upon a large number of wild hops near my friends property in Longview, WA. Thinking what they hey, I used them in an American Pilsner, and I am so happy eith turn-out.

Fresh, herbal, and woodsy with some ripe melon and strawberry jam notes! This pilsner is easy drinking and so incredibly clean tasting.

So has anyone else had good experiments with wild hops? I was definitely nervous but it was worth the risk. If only I would have saved some... there's always future years.

Cheers. :)

Great! I've seen plenty of other wild hop threads, I don't remember results. Most were asking how to use them. I received some heirloom hops from another HBT member. They were planted by his family long ago, possibly cluster. They made nice beer.
