I just bottled a batch of English Bitter that I have brewed for my first competition, that is being run by a local brew pub. It's a fairly ordinary recipe:

Maris Otter 86.5%
Crystal 40 4.3%
Crystal 80 4.3%
Carapils 4.3%
Black Patent 0.5%

East Kent Goldings and Willamette at 60 min
East Kent Goldings and Willamette at 10 min
Styrian Goldings, steep

White Labs WLP002 English Ale

Predictions - SRM 12
IBU 38

I.G. came out 1.050
F.G. is 1.014

So this is on the sporty end to enter as a 11.B Best Bitter. The color and IBU are in bounds but the ABV is a teeny bit high. On the other hand, it is at the modest end of the numbers for a 11.C Strong Bitter.

I am inclined to enter it as 11.B. Anybody have any advice?

Thanks
