The line at Magnify is out of control right now. It is also insanely slow-moving. The craft beer bubble is a myth!
With 3 hoppy beers and 1 of them a collaboration (because collaboration always means more better) a big line was a given for this release.
Being in the most densely populated part of the state with no competitor really has its advantages.

Agreed, got there at 5:20 and was out at 6:45. Not sure I can handle that again.

I think I may still have 2 cans of those.... shhhh

I had a can of orange that had been festering for awhile. Got it as a "trade extra" from a friend.

Opened it about a month or so ago and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Also preferred it to the Bruery Acer Quercus someone brought.

As reported on "the other site," they're still doing tickets in the front, which then enables you to drive around the building to pick up cans... to which I ask, why not just sell cans in the back? I haven't been there in a long time so I have no idea if they have the room in the back to have people line up there, but it seems wildly inefficient under its current setup.

Changes need to be made. It may work but there is no way to enter the brewery from the back so you wouldn't be able to sample beers or enter the tasting room from that side.

Yeah, I got a pour and left. For as long as I watched, I really for the life of me couldn't figure out how processing each credit card transaction could be taking so much time.

nice Tuckahoe take over at Blend in Hamilton happening right now! DDH I Want To See Mountains is ridiculous!

When they release Swish every 10 days or so, Bissell Brothers sells cans from their loading dock in the back two hours before the tasting room opens. I haven't been there for one of those releases so I don't know how well it works, but they've done it a few times now so I'm assuming they've achieved their desired result. Of course, one of the outcomes is people start lining up at 6 am to get cans. But if they don't sell out by the time they open the tasting room at noon, they move cans sales to the front. This could be a remedy for Magnify because people are going to tire of the slow lines quickly. Nobody wants to wait 90 minutes for 3 4 packs. If you do, mazel, but that's not the case with most.

I was in the area for a Swish release this past fall. There were hundreds of people lined up when I cruised by in the morning. A couple guys told me they were already sold out if you weren't at such and such a point from the beginning. Much bigger scene than a Magnify release but it didn't seem fun to me. Man, just one year ago I got Swish easily after lunch with minimal wait. Now Magnify has hit the long slow line point. Thankfully you can easily get cans at Kane and Carton without a wait.

Because they don't announce until the day of, which might also behoove Magnify to do. Just depends on what road they want to go down. I prefer the latter myself even if it puts me at a larger risk of missing out. I'd rather see more on an even playing field than lines two hours before opening.

So full disclosure I've never had any magnify "hyped" beers, but if Kane can release party wave and sneakbox in cans and there's no line I'm going there 100% of the time. And it's not really close.
