no ideas original... looks like someone else had the itch to announce a "fundraiser" bottle share...

but it brings up a question... anyone know what the NJ ABC laws are about opening beers in an establishment that has a liquor license?

I know certain places have bottle shares.. When I went to the one at the Chubby Pickle, Craig said he had a license for it.

yeah, that's where they are having this other "fundraiser" bottle share... but I'm curious to know if that's a thing. I've been told otherwise.

the more I dig and ask around... the more it seems possible. Not a license for it per se... but it being allowed. It just falls under the business' responsibility.

that actually would open up more possibilities...
I questioned about opening bottles at a brewery, and from what I have figured out, as long as the brewery is ok with it, then it is legal, but they have the legal responsibilities on them. So, other places like bars might be ok with it.
My vote is for a hotel conference room. This way I can just crawl upstairs after it.

not in NJ, for production breweries anyway. the only beer allowed to be served/consumed on premise is produced by the brewery and served for educational purposes in direct relation to an educational tour.

it can't be illegal, other wise "corkage" would also be illegal on things like wine

Heading to Grant Street Cafe tonight to watch Rangers game. Just discovered this place recently after living near it for a while. It's not a new place but their beer selection and management must be something of a recent revelation cause it's under the radar as far as the beer sites go. Tap list always has something you want on it. Throw in the numerous tvs, good pub atmosphere, and their food/bar pies and you've got yourself a winner.

Night planned: Kane Citra --> Magnify Contractual --> Carton Cosmonaut --> Good Night

Let's Go Rangers!

Demented brewery made me stick my head in the brewery section for the "official tour" before they could serve me

It's a New Jersey law that you have to take a tour before you sample. Now that you took the tour you can just watch the video in the tasting room.

sweet! not complaining it was literally 10 seconds. Just thought it was unique. First brewery in NJ for me

any updates on Alementary?
they opened at 12pm, i figured we would go around 2pm hoping that it would die down a bit so we can just stroll in. that didn't happen....when we showed up the wait was still 2 hours at least just to get a flight of beer. needless to say we didn't stick around, headed over to Magnify brewing instead then grabbed some food and beers at ambulance brew house. much better decision over all. but i'm gonna check out alementary during the week when its not super busy.

FWIW heard a lot of mixed reviews from my friends that did stay there, some saying the beer was pretty meh others liked it..i'll be the judge once i check it out
