Hello all my wife and I are about to make a pilgrimage to NB Minneapolis and I am going to stock up on grain for the next few month. Knowing this I am wondering what I should be brewing in the coming months for both winter beers and for early spring beers? Would appreciate every ones help.

Thanks :confused::cross:

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking a Weizenbock and Oatmeal Stout. Maybe a Tripel for the snowy nights.

Here are some seasonal ideas:

Winter Beer Styles – Beers to Brew in Fall, Drink in Winter:

* Barley Wine (needs long aging – start a year or more in advance)
* Christmas/Winter Beer
* Holiday Ales
* Old Ale
* Scotch Ale
* Smoked Rauchbier
* Stouts, Porters and other Dark Beers
* Winter Wheats

Spring Beer Styles – Beers to Brew in Winter, Drink in Spring

* Belgian Wit/White Beer
* Blonde Ale
* Bock/Doppelbock
* Fruit Beer
* Green Beer for St Patty’s Day
* India Pale Ale
* Irish Ale
* Irish Stout
* Saison
* Spiced Beer
* Wheat Beer, Weizen and Weisse – particularly Hefeweizen

Depending on when you are going you may be able to still fit in an Oktoberfest too. I like the list above but keep in mind stouts can benefit from some aging and some don't recommend drinking them for a year or more.

That's true I have an English stout that is amazing after three years.... Thank you all for your suggestions I am thinking an Oatmeal Stout and others...:rockin:
