I'm an ale man, but my girlfriends brother decided he wanted to do a wheat bock. I agreed, but the only other lager I've done is a California common, which I did at ale temps. Came out a little sweet, but very clean.
I just tried a sample of the wheat bock, I did a primary at 50f and layered in my corny in my kegerator at 40f for 2 months.
It's smells like wheat, pretty good.
Very carmelly, citrusy, and a bit sweet when you drink some, which turns into an incredibly sweet after taste.
Is this right? I thought lager weren't supposed to be sweet at all, but then again, I don't really do lagers.
It's good, just not what I expected. Thoughts?
