I dunno bro. If the picture in your profile is really you, I may have to add a 7th choice.

I think I am witty but I am sure wife would tell you different.
PS she's a hater
The most common kind, the "Extremely fit and attractive brewer" was left off AGAIN!
WTF guys?
We are too self critical as a group.

I don't think we're too self critical- but no way can I put myself in the same category as Ray Daniels! He's written books. So I have no place for myself at all.
But I'm sure that women can't brew anyway- at least I read that on the internet.
You left off "Country boy who builds what most people would buy"
I brew because I like the challenge of making for myself what most "hip" people are too lazy or inept to attempt.
I grow my own vegetables, I process my own meat, repair my own cars, house, motorcycles, appliances....so why not make my own beer?
Being a country boy, you likely have some facial hair going on so that would make you part grizzly.
Being that you grow / make your own stuff, you have a tendency to stray away from societal norms, making you part hipster.
Since you are capable of doing things that others typically don't take the time to research or learn, that would make you part nerd.
That would be a hip-grizzly-nerd
So "Other" would be appropriate.
Or "All of the above"? I can accept that. :rockin:
I do have a tendency to embrace each of those categories at one time or another.
(I actually did have a full beard up until a month ago when I got tired of hearing the wife complain...but I am usually clean shaven)![]()
It's only scruffy for a few days, then it gets soft and they like to run their fingers threw it. Fact
Is the beard a prerequisite to becoming a brewer or is it typically adopted after becoming one?
only if you want to become truly skilled
Im more this kinda home brewer..

So the adage goes.. Which came first the skilled brewer or the beard?

Hipster denial? It's ok, I think I'm might be one, too.
So far there are at least 3 people who have balls enough to admit to being at least part hipster.
Me too, as evidenced by my recent photo:
