My Blonde Ale keg kicked so I cleaned a keg today.

Pulled the PRV for what should be the last time on my latest lager; this one sat on the yeast, cold, for three weeks while I was busy with other things (anyone need a hat?). Later I'll keg the NEIPA that I brewed last weekend. Finally started new job today, gonna like it there after I get used to working again after being off for about 4 weeks.

HBC club meeting was earlier tonight shared a sizable flip top bottle of mead and a 16oz bottle of beer. Working on getting some entries ready for shipping and getting organized for a brew day.

delabeled two cases of bottles , Realized White labs wlp028 is sslllooowww .... two weeks into a batch of scottish ale and it's still not done fermenting . spent a buttload of money on grain / yeast / etc. for next batches from rite brew ... shipping was a *****.

I picked up some new equipment on Sunday, so spent the Monday holiday moving and cleaning the garage brewspace. Looking forward to getting back to brewing, it's been almost a year since I had a new batch fermenting.

What I did for beer today (on Monday):

Brewed a pilsner ... well, if we're being strict, it's too dark to be a pilsner (it's 5.7 SRM) because I threw a bunch of Vienna malt in the bill ... but it's too hoppy/bitter to be a Vienna, so I'll call it a pilsner anyway.

Also, I failed to take a picture so I'll have to insert one of an old BIAB batch at mash-in.

I finally finished the installation of my vent hood exhaust. Had to cut a hole in wall and mount the duct work. It's been a big task so it's time for one of the best IPAs in the SE USA. Lil ol brewery on the forgotten coast by the name of Oyster City. So now it's just me and an IPA.

Cooking some golden beets for an upcoming ale, and I checked on a small batch of mead that I didn’t think was fermenting (no airlock activity… I thought that perhaps the organic fruit juice I used perhaps has unlisted preservatives, well all is good, it’s tasty and clear and will make a nice nightcap. Strawberries in secondary here we come.

My day off turned into an all brewing day.

• Cleaned and replaced gaskets on 4 new (to me) kegs
• Kegged an american pale ale
• Brewed parti gyle:

2.5 gallons of Imperial Stout
4 gallons of dark Mild

aaand cleaned up after all of that

Kicked the oatmeal stout, cleaned the keg and line, tapped the Baltic porter. Going to pull some of the porter soon and flavor it with coffee and vanilla for a friend at work.

Hubig's Revenge is in the bottle! Assistent Braulein and I got 51x12oz bottles out of the batch with no breaks, spills or sideways caps. This stuff is PFG. Now, as my caption says...

Bottled the barley wine I brewed on November 25, 2022. I missed the OG so the ABV is only 9.58.

After receiving some biting comments from The Spousal Unit I replaced some seriously stanky 1/2" silicone tubing on my brew rig with fresh "almost clear" silicone tubing from @Bobby_M and brewhardware.com. Brewery smells much less "spicey" now

Also received ingredients for next brew and put hops in freezer and yeast in fridge

2 weeks ago I needed to change the battery in my Tilt, but I couldn't get the thing open. Went to my LHBS to see if they could be of assistance, and after trying for a while it was still stuck. They contacted Tilt and had a special wrench sent to them.
Today I went in and finally got it open. While I was there I picked up the ingredients for an Irish Stout.

Bottled Old Fogarty's amber, brewed a Mr Beer St Pat's Stout kit that I got in my Christmas stocking. Used a 6 gram packet of Munton's ale yeast instead of the default that came with the kit; added a little leftover EKG.
