After receiving some biting comments from The Spousal Unit I replaced some seriously stanky 1/2" silicone tubing on my brew rig with fresh "almost clear" silicone tubing from @Bobby_M and brewhardware.com. Brewery smells much less "spicey" now ;)

Cheers!

2 weeks ago I needed to change the battery in my Tilt, but I couldn't get the thing open. Went to my LHBS to see if they could be of assistance, and after trying for a while it was still stuck. They contacted Tilt and had a special wrench sent to them.
Today I went in and finally got it open. While I was there I picked up the ingredients for an Irish Stout.

Bottled Old Fogarty's amber, brewed a Mr Beer St Pat's Stout kit that I got in my Christmas stocking. Used a 6 gram packet of Munton's ale yeast instead of the default that came with the kit; added a little leftover EKG.

Friday I stopped into my local restaurant supply store and picked up a bus tub so I can capture spillage when I fill using a beer gun that I was gifted. (Hoping I won’t have too much spillage to drink when I’m done ;) ) Washed a small batch of bottles, and checked on a beer that’s sat for at least a year because I used too much flavoring extract, it’s just right now.

Good for you. I'm definitely in the 'don't dump your beer' camp. At least try to fix it. Age it. Blend it. Make an attempt. I think too many people are willing to call something a dumper too quickly. Or it could simply be that my standards are lower than others. In any case I'm glad your patience paid off.

Went to rummage around in my beer boxes in the garage..boring day..and to my absolute horror....HORROR I tell you !! Discovered my Anvil 4 gallon bucket fermenter laying on the floor with the plastic base seriously cracked in several places, little bits and pieces missing, little spider cracks running through it. I had wife's family members over for my Birthday Sat and they a look ways bring their Pit dog with them. They take him for potty breaks outside through the garage...I know it was my teen nephew, had to be !!! Then the head kicker...I get in touch with Anvil looking to buy a replacement. They don't carry replacements. Ok can I contact the manufacturer...they won't give out their manufacturer or suppliers...What the What ?!? I'm not trying to be your competition I just want a base ! Sorry can't do it. Ok..if you get a defective return, Say for a seriously dented bucket, can you keep me in mind ?? Sure, they will keep me in mind but they never get returns...😶...😶😶. Now I love my Anvil bucket, thus the desperation to find a replacement base...but what kind of chuckwagon horse hockey are they trying to feed me ?!? NEVER get a return ??? I guess I can hold the base together with some freaking duck tape but that is ugly and pitiful. Very disappointed in Anvil customer service. Anvil in distress !!! I think because it was so cold in the garage, the plastic was more brittle and that caused the spider vein cracking...still...Anvil in distress !!!

Oh no! Accidents happens, and you should have been told about it instead of discovering the problem. This isn’t quite the right size, but I think it would accommodate the cone and give some lift and room to work perhaps. Advanced Drainage Systems 8 in.
